Patio Pavers Using concrete pavers for patios, sidewalks, and driveways is becoming more and more popular because of their
affordability, strength, and durability. Patio Pavers offer
a wide variety of paving options. With the many sizes, shapes, colors, designs and patterns available, combined with slip
resistance and attractive finishes, patio pavers are one of the most versatile paving products available. Individual pavers
can also be replaced at anytime, making repairs easy and affordable. Many common applications include: patios, entrance areas, sidewalks, walkways, terraces, garden paths,
pool decks and courtyards. Patio pavers create entertaining areas ranging from informal, intimate spaces to large, formal
terraces. Steps provide comfortable transitions from one level to another.
Driveway Pavers
As
more and more homeowners grow tired of looking at their ugly, stained or cracked concrete, dirt or asphalt driveway they are
turning to beautiful, durable and maintenance free driveway pavers. A well-chosen and properly installed driveway can add
to the aesthetic appeal of your home, create opportunities for landscaping focal points, and significantly increase the value
of your property.
Mortarless
Versus Mortared Driveway Pavers There
are two types of driveway pavers: mortared and mortarless. Mortared pavers have mortar between the pavers and thus create
a hardened non-flexible surface. This type of surface is prone to cracking and makes replacing a section or a paver more difficult.
Mortarless pavers are the preferred method. Instead of mortar a special mixture of sand is used to make a very solid but flexible
driveway surface. And if a paver ever breaks or cracks, replacing it is very easy!
Paving Stones If you are looking to replace your dirt, concrete
or asphalt driveway or patio, paving stones are today's answer. Most people do not realize that paving stones are several times stronger than concrete. Concrete is hard and "brittle"
and thus prone to cracking. Concrete cannot be repaired without leaving "scar" marks. Whereas concrete is tested
to withstand 2000 PSI, paving stones are tested in excess of 8,000 PSI.
Paving Stones are set in a friction base
sand mixture, thus they do not move around at all, but remain flexible. This flexibility means that with cold and hot weather
the expansion and contraction do not in any way create and ill effect on the paving stone installation.
Paving
stones are even earthquake resistant. Paving stones can be easily replaced should the need ever arise. Most importantly paving
stones add beauty and aesthetics to your environment and value to your home. There are so many different types of paving stones,
colors, textures, shapes, sizes, patterns and designs that they can blend in and greatly enhance the beauty of any home or
building.
